The BBVA Foundation decides its 2010 Biodiversity Conservation Awards

The Award for Biodiversity Conservation in Spain has been granted to WWF España for its high-impact, innovative actions in defense of nature. In Latin America, the equivalent award goes to a Peruvian program promoting the consumption of anchoveta. And finally, Catalan naturalist Josep del Hoyo Calduch, author of the first ever work to illustrate all living bird species, receives the BBVA Foundation Award for Knowledge Dissemination and Communication.
