Un ensayo sobre alternativas y estrategias para una nueva visión de Europa

Social Sciences > Political Science

With the end of the Cold War, there is a historic opportunity to construct a Europe that can remain civilized, democratic and cooperative, and extend it to the whole continent. This is the core of the essay presented by the BBV Foundation as part of its Interculture Project, resulting from its collaboration with the Club of Rome at the Hanover conference, where a number of approaches were contributed to Europe’s commitments with respect to the future. The work proposes a number of initiatives, including new forms of dialogue between citizens, politicians and intellectuals; management of the political and cultural diversity on the continent by means of a type of confederated structure; association with Russia on common European projects; and promotion of interaction with the Arab-Turkish-Muslim world.
