This research project seeks to identify patients at risk of sudden cardiac death by means of a genetic study, in order to aid in the prevention of such lethal cardiovascular events. It will focus on individuals who have suffered an acute seizure when practicing some sports activity.

DESCRIPTION

The project will be carried out by the research team led by Dr. Antonio López Farré, Head of the Cardiovascular Research Unit at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, with the assistance of doctors Juan Jorge González Armengol, Head of Casualty, and Carlos Macaya, Head of the Cardiology Department, both at the same hospital.
