DESCRIPTION
The study uses the theoretical underpinning of a calibrated general equilibrium model to examine the main demographic, economic and political aspects of the debate surrounding the social security system. The calibrated political-economic model allows a size of system to be posited for each country, under the demographic and political situations envisaged, that would win the majority support of the electorate.
