This year’s survey analyzes the opinions of citizens on both sides of the Atlantic on a wide range of topics, among them:
– Government handling of immigration policy
– Social acceptance of immigrants
– Immigration as a problem or an opportunity
– Integration of immigrant groups
– Estimation of immigrant numbers
– Attitudes and degree of concern concerning legal and illegal immigration
– Immigrant access to healthcare and social services
TNS Opinion conducted the Transatlantic Trends: Immigration survey by means of computer-assisted telephone interviews with 1,000 subjects aged 18 and older. Interviews were carried out between August 27 and September 13, 2010 in six European countries (France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom) and between November 10 and 21, 2010 in Canada and the United States.
