Aurelio Tobías is an Associate Professor of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research at the Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research in Barcelona (Spain) and Visiting Associate Professor at the Nagasaki University School of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (Japan). His research activity focuses on environmental epidemiology, studying the health effects of environmental risk exposures, such as extreme temperatures, air pollution, desert dust, and climate change. He has a strong interest in applied statistical and epidemiological methods in health studies. In particular, statistical methods for meta-analysis, and the application of time-series regression in public health.
