Evi Pappa is a professor in the Department of Economics at UC3M (Universidad Carlos III de Madrid) and a member of the CEPR-EABCN Euro Area Business Cycle Dating Committee and of the Portuguese Public Finance Council (CFP). She has held positions at various European universities, including the London School of Economics, Bocconi University, Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, University of Bern and the European University Institute, and spent time as a visiting researcher and consultant at many central banks (recently Banco de España, Bank of Canada, Bank of England and the European Central Bank). She is also a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Her research focuses on topics at the intersection of macroeconomics, monetary policy and public finance within developed economies. Currently a co-editor on the European Economic Review, she also serves as an associate editor of the Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics, the B.E. Journal of Macroeconomics and the Journal of the Spanish Economic Association.
