Financiación autonómica y corresponsabilidad fiscal en España

Increased competition between territorial governments is one of the institutional changes of greatest importance in Spain since the early 1980s. This study covers the different aspects of fiscal co-responsibility (the theoretical framework, comparative analysis, proposals for organization, existing experiences, effects on inter-regional solidarity, and coordination of the funding system) with the aim of helping to create a definitive profile of the fiscal co-responsibility of the autonomous regions. It also contains an assessment of the current system of funding in the period 1987-1991. This book includes the presentations made at the conference on Fiscal Co-responsibility in a Regionalized State, which the BBV Foundation organized in Madrid in 1993.
