Social Sciences > Economics > Economic Policy, Finance

The idea of an integrated European financial market is not new; in fact, it was one of the main goals of the Treaty of Rome (1957). This study presents a detailed outline of the state of financial and monetary integration in Europe through an analysis of the latest changes and progress made. The study goes into depth in matters such as the differences and similarities between the banking markets of the Member States, economic independence and the policy of central banks.
