The study conducted by the BBVA Foundation differs from the Eurobarometer and other national studies in the breadth and depth of the issues covered. Two areas are considered: perceptions on science and technology as a whole, and knowledge and attitudes regarding the environment and biotechnology.

DESCRIPTION

The research was carried out in nine European countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Netherlands and Austria (with a total of 13,500 interviews conducted). Countries were selected on the basis of both their demographic weight and the variability they exhibit with regard to religious beliefs.
